FUTURE GENERATION EUROPE

"LIGHT UP YOUR FUTURE..."

HOW DID WE START?

WHY "FUTURE GENERATION EUROPE"?

"FUTURE"

Because future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

"GENERATION"

Because education is soul of society as it passes from one generation to another.

"EUROPE"

Because Europe only succeeds if we work together.

Every story has its beginning. The story of FGE has started to be written in Summer 2014 by first conceptualization of project EuroSchool and Mini-Erasmus by Matúš Jarolín.

By that time, Jarolín, Coordinator of joint Erasmus Student Network (ESN)
section project - ESN Bratislava, introduced the concept of EuroSchool to ESN Slovakia. With support of Representation of European Commission in Slovakia, project launched in October with Coordination Training in Senec, Slovakia. Soon, first Mini-Erasmus has been launched at 4 universities with students from 11 high schools. Altough projected number of participants was 60, demand for the project has been surpassed and the number of participants grown up into 110.

Starting to realize broader potential of the issues opened up by EuroSchool and Mini-Erasmus, Jarolín along with Tomáš Hajdušek (author of Lead Up project) and Katarína Jankovičová (President of ESN STUBA) founded Future Generation Europe in January 2015 as its own entity.

The project has therefore been moved from ESN to FGE. Both organizations maintain close co-operation while realization of these projects, since many topics of EuroSchool and Mini-Erasmus are close to the ideas of Erasmus Student Network. One of the ideas of FGE is to cooperate with other youth organizations offering them contact with high school students - potential future members.

March 2015 has ment great things for FGE. Already confident, FGE realized another Mini-Erasmus week, this time 230 students strong at 7 Universities. Also EuroSchool has been awarded as the winner of national round of Charlemagne Youth Prize. Furthermore, in the end of the March, FGE successfully launched Lead Up mentoring program.

Understanding its developing success, FGE believes that its projects, along with new ones being prepared, can have place in every European country. Therefore, the vision of FGE is to expand and open up these topics in all Europe.
